摘要: Abstract Cloned cDNAs encoding neurotensin were isolated from a cDNA library derived primary cultures of canine enteric mucosa cells. Nucleotide sequence analysis has revealed the structure 170-amino acid precursor protein that encodes both and neurotensin-like peptide neuromedin N. The peptide-coding domains are located in tandem near carboxyl terminus bounded separated by paired, basic amino residues Lys-Arg. An additional coding domain, resembling N, occurs immediately after an Arg-Arg pair central region precursor. Additional homologies suggest duplications have contributed to gene. RNA blot analysis, using cloned probe, several mRNA species ranging size 500 980 nucleotides mucosa. In contrast, single 1500 was detected bovine hypothalamus poly(A)+ RNA. ability probe cross-hybridize with suggests this can be used isolate neurotensin/neuromedin N genes other mammalian species.
