摘要: Growth is a priority trait from the point of view genetic improvement. Molecular markers linked to quantitative loci (QTL) have been regarded as useful for marker-assisted selection in complex traits growth. Polymorphisms studied five candidate genes influencing growth gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata): hormone (GH), insulin-like factor-1 (IGF-1), myostatin (MSTN-1), prolactin (PRL), and somatolactin (SL) genes. Specimens evaluated were commercial broodstock comprising 131 breeders (from which 36 males 44 females contributed progeny). In all samples eleven gene fragments, covering more than 13,000 bp, generated by PCR-RFLP, analyzed; tests made significant associations between these traits. ANOVA results showed association MSTN-1 polymorphism Pairwise revealed several RFLPs with heterogeneity genotypes among size groups. PRL presented linkage disequilibrium. The was mapped centromeric region medium-size acrocentric chromosome pair.
