摘要: An inventory of the maximum length (ML) reached by 57 species fishes living in mangrove Guaratuba, Brazil, was undertaken with an aim to evaluate relationship between ecosystem and size individuals. For each these species, found region were compared those available existing literature. The majority populations presented individuals whose at least 40% than known for although only 19.3% longer 300mm absolute value. Population other represented either their initial development phases, or reduced as elsewhere same species. In this mangrove, having largest relative are generally that had smallest length. Proposed is use index LR (maximum observed lengths/maximum lengths) a tool description comparison fish assemblages. Observations make possible pre-selection 12 breeding tests. combining biological, technical commercial parameters, retains primordial following species: Centropomus parallelus, undecimalis, Menticirrhus americanus Micropogonias furnieri.
