摘要: A method of and system for finding serving consumer product-related information on the Internet comprising a database subsystem which stores: plurality manufacturer identification numbers (MINs) assigned to manufacturers products; home-page specifying URLs symbolically linked MINs; universal product (UPN) products made by manufacturers; product-information UPNs. During operation, client transmits subsystem, request includes UPN is being sought. The automatically compares against stored MINs, returns one or more UPN, if have been within subsystem. However, no then URL MIN contained in request. By virtue this novel MIN-based search mechanism embodied subsystems are provided with manufacturer's World Wide Web (WWW) site situations where not yet any products.
