摘要: Background Emerging evidence that meaningful relationships with knowledge users are a key predictor of research use has led to promotion partnership approaches health research. However, little is known about system experiences collaborations university-based researchers, particularly partnerships in the area design and service organization. The purpose study was explore experience perspectives senior managers organizations, organization-university partnerships. Methods In-depth, semi-structured interviews (n = 25) were conducted personnel across Canada their on research; partnerships; challenges suggested actions for improving engagement promoting utilization. Participants, recruited from organizations regional responsibilities, responsible system-wide planning support functions. Results Research often experienced as unhelpful or irrelevant decision-making by many within system. Research, quality improvement (QI) evaluation viewed separate activities coordinated different responsibility areas. Perspectives barriers differed those identified literature: organizational stress restructuring, limitations readiness researchers work fast-paced healthcare environment, major barriers. Although need strong executive leadership emphasized, “multi-system action” needed effective Conclusion Common translation not appropriate addressing issues services Nor community providing expertise important taking improve services. A radical rethinking how we prepare researchers; position system; fund infrastructure if potential benefits be achieved. Lack response needs may contribute ‘evidence-informed’ practice being further marginalized operations. Interventions address must respond leadership.
