摘要: Superluminal motion is a common feature of radio jets in powerful gamma-ray emitting active galactic nuclei. Conventionally, the variable emission assumed to originate near central supermassive black-hole where jet launched on parsec scales or smaller. Here, we report discovery superluminal features within distinct flaring X-ray region nearby galaxy M87 with Very Long Baseline Array. This shows that these two phenomenological hallmarks -- and high-energy variability are associated, place this activity much further (>=120 pc) from ``central engine'' than previously thought relativistic sources. We argue recent excess very TeV reported by H.E.S.S. experiment originates structure, thus providing crucial insight into production more distant blazars.
