摘要: Introduction Panoramic radiographs are routinely used in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning. It would be useful if these could also provide information about internal derangement (ID) of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). Methods: The sample consisted 168 condyles 84 women. They underwent panoramic radiography on 1 3 machines bilateral magnetic resonance imaging TMJ machine. Six variables were analyzed by 2-factor ANOVA to evaluate differences condylar morphology with respect status ID type Results: Decreased heights distally inclined found patients ID, irrespective machine used. change became more severe as progressed disk displacement without reduction. Conclusions: This study suggests that some can help clinician identify potential ID.
