Alignments and new band structures in the doubly odd nucleus 80Rb

摘要: Abstract The high spin structure of 80Rb has been investigated using the reaction 51V(32S,2pn) at a beam energy 105 MeV. level scheme was established from γ-γ and recoil-γ-γ coincidence measurements obtained Gamma Detector Array consisting eight Compton suppressed Ge detectors coupled to recoil mass separator HIRA. Rotational states upto an excitation 13 MeV 25ħ were studied. Band crossings ħω = 0.63 0.73 in negative parity band, due successive g 9 2 proton neutron alignment, observed for first time. Evidence also found hitherto unknown sideband. yrast positive bands 78Kr have similar transition energies beyond rotational frequency ≈ 0.55 This is only known example identical nuclei differing by two quasiparticles, this region.
