摘要: ABSTRACT Techniques were developed to quantify mineral textures by image analysis in order improve ore liberation models. Boundary relationships between minerals analysed detect how the might break apart during grinding. Erosion and dilation techniques, similar those used quantifying mineral/pore boundaries, define mineral/mineral boundaries. Analyses that tested are: (1) adaptation of fractal technique sequential erosion on single object silhouettes, analysing a field view with many objects; (2) discernment textural types using erosion/dilation cycles increasingly larger steps per cycle; (3) tabulation amount lost due boundary irregularities into “liberationgram”. The analyses different correlate breakage grain sizes, interrelations liberations.
