摘要: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is the fastest growing neurodevelopmental in United States. Besides genetic risks, environmental factors have been suggested to contribute increase ASD diagnosis over past decade. Several studies reported abnormalities microbiota composition and differences microbial metabolites children with ASD. Gastrointestinal discomfort commonly Additionally, food selectivity picky eating patterns are reported. A number of mechanisms underlying interaction between nutrition, gut microbiota, symptoms via microbiota-gut-brain axis proposed, including immune, hormonal, or neuronal pathways. Here, current evidence base regarding environment nutritional status reviewed. Potential interplay also Future investigating context dietary intake needed understanding diet identify potential dietary, probiotic, prebiotic intervention strategies.
