摘要: Abstract Clusters of small cells in the interatrial septum heart fluoresce yellow-green when prepared according to Falck-Hillarp method for biogenic amines. An attempt was made locate these electron microscopic preparations. Cells were found that contained many typical amine-storage granules. There two types granule; each cell one variety or other, but none both. The granule-containing highly vascular, glomus-like clusters, most which vicinity AV node. Nerve terminals containing 550 A transclucent vesicles synaptic contact with cells. These efferent synapses. It is possible therefore cells, under neural control, secrete catecholamines into capillaries septum. However, view several similarities between bodies and carotid aortic bodies, possibility chemoreceptor function also must be considered.
