摘要: The objectives of the present study were to assess and optimize fatigue behaviour in strain-controlled tests different ultrafine-grained (UFG) metals alloys (Cu, Al, AA6061, α-brass) prepared by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP). Quite generally, UFG materials investigated exhibited shorter lives low-cycle (LCF) regime than corresponding conventional grain (CG) size specimens. In all cases, could be enhanced appreciably a suitable heat treatment following ECAP without, however, paralleling CG microstructural reasons for this are discussed, microstructure-based life model is presented.
