摘要: Both growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like factors (IGFs) associate with specific binding proteins. Besides control by hormones, these proteins are nutritionally regulated. The GH-binding protein (GHBP) is the extracellular portion of GH receptor. Its concentrations in circulation decreased severe malnutrition, reflecting a decrease tissue receptor abundance. IGFs bound to 6 different (IGFBPs). IGFBP-3 relatively stable only depressed after prolonged periods malnutrition. In contrast, IGFBP-1 regulated acutely nutrient intake, showing major elevations overnight fasting rapid postprandial decreases. IGFBP-2 highly dependent on dietary intake. Nutritional may regulate availability biological actions their IGFBPs.
