摘要: Group B streptococcus (GBS) is one of the most common causes neonatal sepsis and meningitis. Intra-partum antibiotic prophylaxis does not play a significant role in reducing risk GBS late-onset disease. One proposed mechanisms for disease infection through contaminated breast milk. Infants whom milk thought to be source are more heavily colonised reports suggest they have higher recurrence rate compared infants with other potential sources. There no consensus whether mothers disease, especially those recurrent episodes, should tested GBS. In addition, recommendations differ on breast-feeding interrupted or pasteurised, mother infant treated colonisation. this review we discuss these different approaches.
