Polyimides Containing Azobenzene Side Units: Properties and Correlation with Conformational Parameters

摘要: Two series of aromatic polyimides differing by the bridging group between imide rings, polymers a, b, and c, having C˭O linkages d, e, f, C(CF3)2 groups, have been obtained polycondensation reaction dianhydrides with diamines containing substituted azobenzene groups. These good solubility in polar amidic solvents, were able to form transparent flexible films showed high thermal stability. Conformational parameters calculated Monte Carlo method allowance for hindered rotation. Several physical properties these polymers, such as solubility, glass transition temperature (Tg), initial decomposition (Tonset) measured discussed relation volume factor macromolecular chains. The is equal ratio Van der Waals pendent repeating unit main chain.
