摘要: Storage of electricity produced intermittently by renewable energy sources is a societal issue. Besides the use batteries and supercapacitors, conversion excess into chemical also actively investigated. The CO2 to fuel or precursors an option that requires catalyst overcome high activation barrier. Of molecular catalysts, metal complexes with polypyridyl ligands are well represented, among which [Cp*Rh(bpy)Cl] + [M(bpy)(CO)3X] (M = Re, Mn) complexes. As redox non-innocent ligand, bipyridine ligand generally involved in reduction mechanisms. It thus tempting replace it other such as vacant polyoxometalates (POMs). We have prepared [α-H2PW11O39{Rh(III)Cp*(OH2}] 3-which closely related [Cp*Rh(III)(bpy)Cl] substitution monovacant [PW11O39] 7-Keggin-type POM for ligand. Its activity towards has been assessed acetonitrile presence water. Compared produces formate selectively over CO H2, derived favours proton reduction.
