摘要: Neocortical pyramidal neurons in vivo are subject to an intense synaptic background activity that has a significant impact on various electrophysiological properties and dendritic integration. Using detailed biophysical models of morphologically reconstructed neocortical neuron, which was simulated according recent measurements cat parietal cortex vivo, we show the responsiveness cell additional periodic subthreshold stimuli can be significantly enhanced through mechanisms similar stochastic resonance. We compare several paradigms leading resonance-like behavior, such as varying strength or correlation activity. A new type behavior obtained when varied, case is sensitive statistics rather than noise. suggest this resonance may relevant information processing cerebral cortex.
