摘要: We investigate analytically the quantum phase transition in a system of two chains ultrasmall Josephson junctions, coupled capacitively with each other. Two different schemes coupling, straight and slanted, between are considered. In both coupling schemes, as capacitance is increased, transport particle-hole pairs found to drive Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless type from insulator superconductor. A substantial discrepancy points observed, which reflects difference mechanisms.
