INFLUENCE OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE EXPERIENCE IN FAMILY OF ORIGIN ON FAMILY OF DESTINATION IN SOKOTO STATE, NIGERIA

摘要: T h is study investigates influence of intimate partner violence in the family origin on destination with particular reference to Sokoto State, Nigeria. Questionnaires were administered 255 married women selected from North Local Government out which 175 claimed they had experienced .The also interviewed 7 men who witnessed some form their home origin. Data was analyzed using regression analysis SPSS. This found that incidence domestic affect marital stability area (p 0.05) local government area. erefore, this p r o fferssolutionstowardseradicationofdomesticviolenceasawayofpromoting development, and reducing gender disparity Nigeria society. It recommended cultural assumptions should be physically abused, perception as weaker needing controlled, well proper socialization children, especially male child increased, thereby vulnerability violence.
