The evolution and role of NH4Cl flux used to synthesize double perovskite BaLaMgSbO6: a potential red phosphor for white LEDs

摘要: Eu3+ ions activated BaLaMgSbO6 phosphors were successfully synthesized by the solid-state reaction method using NH4Cl as flux. The BaCl2 was selected to substitute BaCO3 starting material attest that not only reacted with but also other materials. analysis of TG/DSC used probe role flux in process synthesizing powders. crystal structure investigated XRD and Rietveld refinement, morphology SEM. had monoclinic double perovskite space group P21, well rock-salt ordering B-site. luminescence properties, including photoluminescence excitation emission spectra, color coordinates investigated. Also, relationship between crystalline size intensity discussed. With increasing calcination temperature, both monotonously increased. relative ratio red/orange measure degree distortion from inversion symmetry local environment BaLaMgSbO6.
