摘要: Abstract: Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a non-traditional process based on removing material from part by means of series repeated electrical discharges between tools, called electrodes, and the being machined in presence dielectric fluid. EDM currently widely used industry for high-precision all types conductive such as metals, metallic alloys, graphite even some ceramic materials, regardless hardness. In spite their exceptional mechanical chemical properties, materials have only been partially accepted field industrial applications, owing to difficulties with processing high cost associated manufacture. Over past few years, advances make application this technology available manufacture materials. This chapter first presents an overview general classification, manufacturing various applications secondly tungsten carbide/cobalt (WC/Co)-cemented carbide, important composite that cutting dies other special tools. It has hardness excellent resistance shock wear, but difficult machine easily using conventional techniques. Experiments are performed newly designed experimental set-up developed laboratory. The response surface methodology identify most influential parameters maximizing metal removal rate minimizing roughness.
