摘要: This paper presents the findings of a study on interrelationship between space, bodily actions and sensory integration autistic children. In particular it addresses role spatial environment in promoting development children, using J. Gibson’s concept affordances, which places an emphasis transactional relationship individual body its environment. examines how body-space transaction occurs to promote integration, based series unobtrusive observations performed by children during therapy sessions. The found multiple affordances spaces objects for various sensory-related actions. child’s interaction with reflects relational character affordances. multiplicity characteristics are manifested through presence possibilities, child may respond suggest that physical layout could enhance should be designed considering as body-environment system eventually enrich adaptive responses.
