摘要: In this study, the oxidation of surface a SO/50 (at.%) NiTi alloy was studied by XPS, AES and SEM. Samples were oxidized at 23 °C high temperatures an oxygen pressure 10-' Torr in atmosphere. At 10 - ' 0 1 23°e, titanium preferentially while nickel remained metallic form even after 40 min exposure. same partial 400°C, mixture ofTiO" . Ti 3 Ti01 formed, metallic. Eventually, exposure, whole covered with layer TiO]. atmosphere °e, again preferentially, but NiO detected on first minute air higher temperature 450 °e. areas comprising , consisting ofTiO] only found. Below top layer, complete TiO] detected. Underneath nickel-rich present.
