Strategic road pricing schemes accounting for demand uncertainty

摘要: Transport network pricing is a topic of interest to transport planners and users alike. Pricing schemes are vital traffic management strategy which can be implemented reduce congestion, among other externalities. Previous research has explored achieve variety objectives, including social environmental concerns. This work introduces robust strategic system optimal (StrSO) scheme incorporates novel user equilibrium-based behavioural model, specifically the equilibrium (StrUE) model. Prices set on all links in improve expected performance by lowering travel time, thus relieving congestion. The proposed solution method scalable large networks. results show how introduced measures used investigate relationship between congestion reliability tolled network.
