摘要: Adela boliviella n. sp., described from central Bolivia, is the first representative of subfamily Adelinae found in South America. This species closely related to astrella Walsingham, which it differs by larger compound eyes males (interocular index, i.e. ratio vertical eye diameter interocular distance, equals 1.5 compared 0.75 A. astrella), smaller extent pale yellow scales forewing (0.25× length 0.40 absence a silver band outside fascia and presence three glossy spots near apex (six astrella).
