摘要: Ethanol is formed by contacting a mixture of carbon monoxide, hydrogen and methanol with catalyst comprising cobalt-containing compound germanium-containing compound, such as dicobalt octacarbonyl triphenylgermanium hydride in the presence an inert, oxygenated hydrocarbon solvent at temperature about 50° to 350° C. pressure 500 psig or greater.
