摘要: The objective of this study was to evaluate the impact tamoxifen treatment on amount fibroglandular tissue (FGT), background parenchymal enhancement (BPE), and cysts breast MRI. Retrospective search identified 96 women with cancer who had a MRI both before during adjuvant therapy between 2002 2008. After exclusion all irradiated breasts, 88 were eligible. Two readers blinded status independently rated level BPE, FGT, using 4-point categorical scale: BPE--Minimal, Mild, Moderate, Marked; FGT--Fatty, Scattered, Heterogeneously Dense (HD), Dense; Cysts--Minimal, Marked. A consensus interpretation reached in cases disagreement. During tamoxifen, there significant shift from higher lower degree cysts, FGT compared tamoxifen. decreased 68% (60/88), 38% (33/88), 40% (35/88) (p<0.001 for measures). minimal or pre-tamoxifen MRI, percentage demonstrating decrease these factors increased 81% (60/74), 77% (33/43), 41% (35/86), respectively. Exclusion patients treated chemotherapy did not substantially change results. decreases greater duration whereas BPE detected early (<90 days) longer association exists
