摘要: Summary During a field survey carried out on symptomatic maritime pine trees (Pinus pinaster) in Gois, central Portugal, Bursaphelenchus luxuriosae was isolated for the first time and Europe. Identification of nematodes based morphological characters molecular analyses this species. The general morphology both females males is agreement with original description B. luxuriosae, namely typical male spicules conspicuous female tail. Species identification confirmed through sequencing ITS rDNA region fragment spanning D2/D3 domain 28S gene. This species belongs to xylophilus-group third group known Portugal. were retrieved small numbers (<100 nematodes/100 g dry wood), no insect vector association could be established.
