摘要: Abstract Two fossil tooth enamel fragments were irradiated with beta rays, one through the outer surface, other dentine–enamel junction. The angular ESR spectra of two decomposed using an automated simulated annealing (SA) procedure, which is particularly well suited to separate overlapping signals. Beta irradiation generated different qualitative and quantitative responses previous gamma experiments. Similar created both non-oriented oriented CO 2 − radicals. In contrast irradiation, only orthorhombic radicals, axial radicals extracted after irradiation. Furthermore, significantly more than Altogether, radical distribution by resembled that natural sample, had been exposed environmental over several hundreds thousands years. sample contained 9% non-orientated a mix in ratio 35:65. induced fragment surface 45:55, while for these values 19% 59:41, respectively. angle between around 23° components.
