摘要: The development objective of the Chimborazo Productive Investments (PIDD) Project for Ecuador is to increase production and market access rural families living in Chambo Chanchan - Chimbo river basins Province, through investments irrigation roads improvement. This environmental assessment (EA) document evaluated impacts list mitigation measures, following areas : erosion caused by improvements existing systems its roads; transport adequate storage construction materials; disposal excavation material; loss vegetation; soil fertility; changes natural drainage patterns; flora; fauna; accidents vehicular traffic; proper use fuels lubricants; contaminated material will be transported approved landfills; elaborate a diagnostic needs capacity building training workers pesticides area influence project; finally, compliance with Ecuador's Political Constitution, national environmental, forestry water laws, international conventions which signatory, Bank's social operational safeguards directives.
