摘要: We describe ureteral diverticula in two dogs and briefly review the related literature. The diagnosis of this condition is radiographic based on excretory urographic observation multiple outpouchings. Pathologically, transitional cell hyperplasia mucinous metaplasia result submucosal proliferation urothelium formation crypts small cysts. Ureteral diverticulosis humans associated with an increased risk urothelial malignancies, such as carcinoma urinary bladder. Clinically, both were older, breed neutered females. Both had a history chronic obstruction. One dog died during surgery to remove adrenal mass, other was euthanized at owner's request because inoperable bladder neoplasm. Histopathologic lesions confirmed dogs.
