Biofilm deterrence in water supply systems

摘要: Means and methods for deterring biofilm in water supply systems, comprising at least one insoluble proton sink or source (PSS). The means is provided useful killing living target cells (LTCs), otherwise disrupting vital intracellular processes and/or intercellular interactions of the LTC upon contact. PSS comprises, inter alia, (i) providing a buffering capacity; (ii) conductivity electrical potential. effectively pH homeostasis balance within confined volume LTCs while efficiently preserving LTCs' environment.
