摘要: A single genetic locus, flavivirus resistance (Flv), controls virus titres and severity of infection in mouse brain. It has been mapped to chromosome 5 shown include different allelic forms. While the majority laboratory strains are susceptible flaviviruses carry Flv(s) allele, wild mice recently derived from them resistant flavivirus-resistance alleles including Flv(r)-like Flv(mr) alleles. Although there is a model conferred by Flv(r) other have not adequately studied due lack appropriate animal models. In this paper we describe development new flavivirus-resistant strains, C3H.M.domesticus-Flv(r) C3H.MOLD-Flv(mr), which novel on background C3H/HeJ mice. The were created 10 11 generations backcrossing followed brother-sister matings resulting generation homozygous founder stocks. Genome analysis newly developed revealed chromosomal regions approximately 9 cM, respectively, encompassing Flv 5, donor These segments much smaller than segment 31 cM described congenic strain C3H.PRI-Flv(r) (also known as C3H/RV). standardized mice, represent models these
