摘要: Abstract The low-density values of light alloys have made them ideal candidates for reducing the weight structural components. Given their relatively low melting points, it is vital to characterise behaviour these materials at high temperature working conditions. In this paper, Small Punch Creep (SPC) testing technique applied evaluate creep properties AlSi9Cu3 and AZ31 alloys, which respectively exhibit brittle ductile fractures. By comparing SPC results with uniaxial ones, a relationship between miniature conventional tests has been established. Three different approaches employed, by share (i) same time rupture, (ii) Larson-Miller (iii) Orr-Sherby-Dorn parameter. Regardless material, methods lead relationships, proving accuracy. Furthermore, used obtain master curves usual engineering parameters, are in good agreement those obtained means methods, confirming suitability purpose.
