摘要: Abstract This paper proposes the role of natural resource dependence (NRD) in conventional Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis resource-based countries. We set up three hypotheses to challenge EKC hypothesis. Empirically, we find that NRD strengthens relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions while weakens quadratic emissions. infers pattern countries does not follow due curse mechanism. Our results imply mechanism per se explain growth–environment nexus The explanation is rather found a mix both hypotheses.
