摘要: Asiatic cottons [Gossypium arboreum (L.)] have been investigated as a source of resistance to the tobacco budworm [Heliothis virescens (Fab.)] because their diversely colored petals presumed contain various allelochemicals. However, we found that larvae fedG. squares (buds) grew about equally compared with those fed from commercialG. hirsutum lines. The best was in severalG. double-haploid (DH) In our investigation allelochemicals, G.arboreum lines were much less gossypol leaves, (buds), and thanG. L. Flavonoids significantly higher inG. only petals. Of 22G. which gathered (TBW) laboratory, larval growth not decreased on any, but survival six. When square flavonoids isolated incorporated laboratory diets for TBW, moderate toxicity observed. estimated toxicities greater than same flavonoid isolates fromG. most prevalent flavonoids, all previously plant tissues, gossypetin 8-0-glucoside 8-0-rhamnoside, neither present tissue. Quercetin 3-0-glucoside, quercetin-3′-0-glucoside, quercetin 7-0-glucoside also significant amounts both species. Gossypetin 8-0-rhamnoside toxic tested (the ED50% be 0.007 0.024) therefore may prove contributing factors TBW feeding.
