摘要: Measurement of the Faraday effect in single crystals rare-earth garnet ferrites at wavelengths around 5 μm allows determination g values ions system. Experimental results are given temperature range 77 °K to 300 for materials R3Fe5O12, where R = Y, Gd, Y0 5Gd0 5, Tm or Dy. The gadolinium and ferric observed be constant over whole reasonably good agreement with previous measurements by alternative methods. In thulium value is 1.36 ± 0 03 1 64 06 a roughly linear variation intermediate temperatures. dysprosium respective 0.77 02 04. These poor microwave resonance. There evidence that Kittel fast-relaxation effects explain differnce. Such not present optical frequencies.
