摘要: Outline structure and tectonic evolution of the Variscan Sudetes. A b s t r a c t. The Polish part Sudetes is reviewed on basis published data interpretations. Sudetic segment Variscides its adjacent areas were subjected to multi-stage accretion during successive collisional events that followed closure different segments Rheic Ocean. Early deformations culminated in Late Devonian due docking Armorican terrane assemblage southern margin Laurussia. orogenic activity continued into Carboniferous was associated with new collision intense folding thrusting, by abundant magmatism, gravitational collapse resulting exhumation deeply buried metamorphic complexes as well inversion foreland basin. In Sudetes, tectonostratigraphic units are tectonically juxtaposed often bear record contrasting exhumation/cooling paths, constrained palaeontological geochronological data. This provides evidence for presence allochthonous units, partly cryptic sutures an overall collage-type tectonics area. main lithostratigraphical components distinguished within are: 1) non-metamorphic metamorphosed Neoproterozoic igneous suites accompanied volcano-sedimentary successions, 2) Cambrian granitoids gneissified orogeny, 3) variously Ordovician through successions deposited pre-orogenic extensional basins, 4) dismembered fragments Silurian ophiolitic complex, 5) Lower sedimentary passive continental margin, 6) granitoids, 7) clastic sediments and/or intramontane basins. All these assembled form internal zone largely exposed area Bohemian Massif. three-partite subdivision proposed here reflects timing deformation respective segments. Central, West East deformed amalgamated Middle/Late Devonian, at turn Carboniferous, respectively. Problems extending classical zonation explained Palaeozoic strike-slip faults shear zones, disrupting dispersing initially more simply distributed present-day structural mosaic.
