摘要: Abstract This paper presents an easy, fast and economic synthesis of chelating agents for medical, environmental analytical applications, the evaluation stability their complexes with Fe3+ Al3+. Complex formation equilibria Cu2+ Zn2+ metal ions were also studied to evaluate if can perturb homeostatic these essential ions. Effective ions, in addition well-known medical uses, find increasing number applications remediation, agricultural (supplying elements easily available form), chemistry as colorimetric reagents. Besides complexes, lack toxicity low cost are basic requisites agents. With aims mind, we utilized ethyl salicylate, a cheap molecule without toxic effects, adopted simple synthetic strategy join two salicylate units through linear diamines variable length. Actually, mutual position binding oxygen groups, well linker length, affected protonation complex equilibria. A thorough study ligands is presented. In particular, three toward Fe3+, Al3+, investigated by combined potentiometric spectrophotometric techniques. The results encouraging: all form stable involving donor atoms from 2-hydroxybenzamido unit, nitrogen copper zinc coordination.
