Adsorptive parametric pumping for the purification of phenolic effluents

摘要: Abstract This paper deals with the recovery and/or purification of liquid streams containing phenol and p-nitrophenol individual concentrations 25 mg/l by adsorptive parametric pumping. The pump operated in a direct mode, semicontinuous manner, feed to top reservoir. adsorbent used was Duolite ES861 (a polystyrenic resin produced Rohm Haas) temperatures each half-cycle were 60 20°C. Basic data (adsorption equilibrium isotherms mass capacity factors) obtained from batch experiments fixed-bed runs (breakthrough curves). Under experimental conditions used, we able concentrate initial solution factor 2–3 (final concentration reservoir) produce bottom product that are orders magnitude lower than solution.
