摘要: A poly-polarization multiplexing (PPM) scheme, that simultaneously utilizes two orthogonal polarization signals to create virtual additional planes, has been studied enhance the spectrum efficiency for fixed satellite communication in Ku band (12, 14 GHz). In this paper, further increase efficiency, we propose an enhanced PPM (E-PPM) scheme. By formulating generalized linear mapping proposed scheme derives optimal E-PPM signal set largest minimum Euclidean distance. As a fundamental study, paper focuses on AWGN channel, and show achievable performance of computer simulations assuming no depolarization effects, reduces required Eb/N0 by 1.80 dB 0.70 at BER =10-7 compared with conventional (OPM) respectively.
