摘要: This article addresses cultural differences in children's initiative helping their home. Many 6- to 8-year-old children from an Indigenous-heritage community Guadalajara, Mexico, were reported engage, on own initiative, complex work for the benefit of whole family (such as tending younger siblings, cooking, or running errands). In contrast, few a cosmopolitan which families had extensive experience with Western schooling and associated practices, contribute household work, seldom initiative. They more often be involved activities managed by adults, have limited time play, compared community, who plenty free play planned initiated after-school activities.
