摘要: In iron deficiency, zinc protoporphyrin (ZPP) is produced instead of heme, and the ZPP concentration in erythrocytes increased (normal < or = 40 mumol/mol heme). We investigated relevance for staging deficiency. was determined by hematofluorometry samples from 103 patients. Nineteen patients with depletion showed decreased serum ferritin (12.1 +/- 4.4 micrograms/L) normal hemoglobin (Hb). Twelve iron-deficient erythropoiesis had (10.4 2.4 micrograms/L), (72 9 heme), Hb concentrations. 72 iron-deficiency anemia, 12 micrograms/L. mild anemia (Hb between 100 120 g/L, erythrocyte indices), 16 heme. severe values were significantly higher (265 109 conclude that measurements ZPP, ferritin, can reliably be combined to classify degree
