摘要: Abstract Frothers are used in mineral flotation to form small bubbles and a froth layer. As surfactants, frothers may also disperse oily collectors promote their adsorption on surfaces. Following the previous work showing that aliphatic alcohol inhibited dispersion of dodecane de-ionised water, but promoted NaCl solution, this study examined effect polyglycol-type frothers, including Dowfroth 250 (DF250) 400 (DF400), water solution. Dispersion tests, interfacial tension measurements, zeta potential measurements viscosity show DF400 DF250 were able enhance both solution by promoting formation stabilisation droplets. dispersed more than mainly through producing stabilised droplets driven stronger electrostatic steric repulsion. Although synergy occurred between DF400/DF250 facilitate dispersion.
