摘要: Abstract Although morphological sex differences are pervasive in the primary visual cortex of hooded rats, it is not known whether occur vision these rats. In this study, grating acuity was measured a forced-choice Y maze and jumping stand adult vernier thresholds were established stand. With criterion 34 correct/50 trials, number correct choices for both sexes high (1.0-1.6 cycles per degree [c/deg]) spatial gratings. Female rats made more identifications coarse gratings (0.125 0.25 c/deg) than male but no found higher frequencies. contrast, better at detecting smaller offsets individual group averages female all detected misalignments 34.1 min (equivalent to 1.75 c/deg), which above their acuity. Vernier may mirror some anatomy.
