摘要: An experimental investigation into microscale transformation characteristics of polycrystalline NiTi wires 500 µm diameter during shape memory cycling is discussed, with emphasis on the characterization a pronounced heterogeneity in strain distribution evident detwinning martensite phase upon application load and its persistence throughout actuation cycle. Using scanning electron microscopy-digital image correlation, full-field maps at were obtained cycling. It was found that strains induced by quite heterogeneous microscale, could display large degree similarity thermo-mechanical tended to increase as progressed. Residual concentrated locations where accumulation from plasticity significant, indicating martensitic associated occurs it spatially correlated subsequent residual microscale.
