摘要: The aim of this study was to characterise the expression haem oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in healthy lung tissue from horses and measure its activity. Samples were collected six euthanased for reasons other than respiratory disease. HO-1 activity detected type II alveolar epithelial cells, macrophages neutrophils all samples examined. dependent on presence NADPH inhibited quantitatively by addition increasing concentrations a competitive inhibitor HO-1, tin mesoporphyrin IX.
