摘要: RNA polymerase II transcribes the mRNA-encoding genes and majority of small nuclear (snRNA) genes. The formation a minimal functional transcription initiation complex on TATA-box-containing mRNA promoter has been well characterized involves ordered assembly number general factors (GTFs), all which have either cloned or purified to near homogeneity. In human snRNA promoters, single element, proximal sequence element (PSE), is sufficient direct basal levels in vitro. PSE recognized by SNAPc. SNAPc, not required for from mRNA-type promoters such as adenovirus type 2 major late (Ad2ML) promoter, thought recruit TATA binding protein (TBP) nucleate complex, but little known about GTFs other than TBP are required. Here we show that IIA, IIB, IIF, IIE efficient promoters. Thus, although recognize core elements snRNA-type differ, they mediate recruitment many common GTFs.
