摘要: Wetland restoration is a common practice in the southeastern United States, where changing land use patterns have resulted widespread degradation of coastal ecosystems. Re-establishment indigenous vegetation fundamental paradigm practice. In freshwater wetlands, this often includes planting flood-tolerant species such as Taxodium distichum (L.) Rich (bald cypress). While much known regarding ecology foundational species, research establishing ecophysiological profile mature bald cypress under stress-free, baseline conditions limited. Therefore, study was undertaken 2015 to monitor growing season ecophysiology stand restored wetland. Net photosynthesis constant early mid-growing season, declining steadily late growth until visible onset needle senescence. Patterns transpiration matched those observed for photosynthesis, whereas conductance and chlorophyll fluorescence ...
