摘要: The aim of this study was to assess the effects hop cones (Humulus lupulus L.) from two varieties Aurora and Dana, differing in their α- β-acid contents, on rumen microbial activity measured with vitro gas production kinetics short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) production. Hop were added total mixed dairy cow ration (CONT) concentrations simulating a cow’s daily intake 50, 100 200 g – expressed substrate basis 43, 82 153 mg/g substrate. Substrates anaerobically incubated glass syringes, kinetic parameters determined by fitting data Gompertz model. Gas produced after 24 h (Gas24), maximum fermentation rate (MFR) time (TMFR) calculated estimated parameters. After incubation, liquids each taken for determination SCFA. Increasing cone concentration decreased potential production, Gas24, MFR shortened TMFR. highest significantly acetic butyric acid productions SCFA but not propionic resulting ratio between acid.
